Fox Steinhilber
Treasurer
Fox (nonbinary) officially joined the Monroe County chapter of NOW in 2025 after volunteering in various ways for the past few years. A native Hoosier, Fox attended Indiana University and chose to stay in Bloomington after earning their BS in 2004. They possess a technical background, having worked in fields ranging from IT to web development and statistical analysis, and have assumed the position of Treasurer to support a movement they believe to be of vital importance.
tammyjo eckhart
Director of Communications
TammyJo Eckhart (she/her) is an award-winning author and educator who is a decades long member of NOW. She joined Monroe County's chapter when it formed in 2017. Since then she has served in various roles as part of the Communications Committee, the Election Committee and chapter President from 2024 through 2025. She is honored to continue to serve the chapter as Director of Communications, as we must focus our fight to restore, maintain, and expand our rights.
Tabitha Cochran
director of membership/outreach
Tabitha (she/her) joined Monroe County NOW in August of 2025. She works as a Family Support Worker for a non-profit organization in Bloomington, and is very passionate about helping others. Tabitha has prior experience in membership through working for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Jubilee of Lynchburg as Membership Coordinator. She is excited to help expand Monroe County NOW, and to continue to fight for gender equality.
